The Starbucks team in Seattle needed simple, quick-to-construct packaging formats that were lightweight, strong and technically suited to a broad range of food types. They formats needed to be environmentally sustainable to reflect their brand values.
Root created a packaging strategy that defined the best packaging format, material and print process for 220 products. Managing 2D and 3D structural packaging designers and engineers to develop, model and test 8 core packaging solutions for US roll out across 10,00 stores followed by a global roll out.
