My new brand needed business cards to reflect my passion for production, innovation, reflect my sustainable brand values and be an excellent example of design for a Circular Economy.
I applied circular economy principles to drive the selection of FSC materials, some with recycled content, others with re-engineered potato starch and another with up-cycled paper pulp – all from UK suppliers. I defined a local sourcing strategy to minimise transport impacts across the supply chain while championing UK and regional manufacturers. I specified innovative laser cutting technology with digital printing, solvent free duplexing and foil blocking. Proofing them on a selection of different materials to ensure they were technically viable.
